Therapeutic Approach and Modalities
Anna's style is warm and gently challenging — and she tends to share moments of laughter with her patients even when they are talking about the toughest parts of life. Cultural humility, trust, and respect are essential ingredients of her approach. She works collaboratively, supporting patients in discerning their own agenda for therapy.
For Anna, therapy should be a space where patients can lay out and sort through the puzzle pieces of their lives, find language for thoughts or feelings they may never have voiced before, challenge long-held assumptions about themselves, and experiment with new ways of being.
Unique to her work: Anna does not make assumptions about why a patient has come to therapy. Someone may identify as neurodivergent — but that may not be the reason they are seeking support. The same is true for other identities and experiences. In this space, patients decide on the focus of the work.
